A tale about how life's little bouts with fate can turn into unforeseen tragedy. As our main character "Michael Adams" struggles to save his house, as well as his relationship with his daughter, he embarks on a supernatural journey that will both challenge his wit, and his will to live.

Upon the death of his daughter's pet, Michael Adams is compelled to console his daughter's grief by offering a funeral service for her belated pet. In preparation, Michael begins digging a grave in his backyard. Soon after, he unearths a mysterious chest in which has been hidden below the earth's surface for over two centuries. The possibility of unknown treasure and riches dance through Michael's head. Could this solve his tax problem and save his house? Michael assumes the painstaking task of breaking through the chest's seemingly impenetrable web of chains. To no avail, Michael must call on outside help. With the spark of a welder's torch, the chains melt effortlessly- leaving the chest's contents vulnerable to prying eyes.
